In this session, Dr. Lindell will teach you how to determine whether a patient’s presenting behavioral concern is due to an underlying medical illness, a behavioral illness, or a combination of the two. Behavioral history taking can be daunting. Today you will learn some important guidelines so that you can obtain an accurate initial assessment during a routine office visit. This assessment can then be used to determine which laboratory diagnostic screening tests are indicated.  

 

By the end of the session, participants will understand how to recognize patterns of behavior that suggest that your patient requires further medical testing. Medical and behavioral differentials based on common clinical presentations will be discussed .
